‘Dino’, as he was affectionately known by many, was a hard working man’s man with a gruff exterior that covered a very sentimental side that deeply loved his wife and their many children and grandchildren. Known as a strong union man, he was loyal to his union brothers all of his life and changed many of our lives for the better by introducing us to the waterfront. His passion for hunting, fishing and boating frequently found him enjoying the outdoors with friends and family, including his four, much loved brothers. Countless children have laughed in the summer sun as they were towed on waterskis behind his boat. We, who knew and loved Dean, hold a special place in our hearts for this irreplaceable and colourful character. We bid a sad farewell to our patriarch and ask that you honour him with this toast…
‘We lost a good man on this day.’
