Elizabeth Nesdoly

Nesdoly, Elizabeth (Beth) nee Shorey – Born in Quebec on May 18, 1928 and slipped into everlasting sleep on August 4, 2011 in Surrey, BC. Predeceased by her husband John, her parents Joseph and Jane and her brother Joe. Survived by her daughter Kathy (Rob) and 8 grandchildren, Jordan (Susie), Tyson (Taryn), Kendall (Brad), Hanna, Gabby, Jennifer (Kyle), Nina, Kevin and great-grandson-to-be, Joey. Also survived by her brother Richard and sister Joan, nieces and nephews, (greats and grands) and many friends. She was Nan to so many. The family would like to thank Ruby and Zinny from Comcare for loving Beth as they did. We would also like to thank all the nurses (Benny from 3W winkwink) and staff from Surrey Memorial Hospital for their gentle care during her stay. Beth graduated from Ottawa Civic School of Nursing in 1950, and never stopped in what she described as “her calling” until 1994 from Royal Columbian Hospital. Beth loved her church, her friends and most importantly, her grandchildren, with whom she always encouraged and cooked for. She will forever be remembered for her exceptional meals, her baking and elaborate dinner parties. Beth was the consummate hostess. With her passing she leaves many with aching hearts and takes with her to heaven the recipes for Beef Barley Vegetable soup and her famous coleslaw. Service to be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831-28 Ave, Surrey, BC. Please wear bright colours as Beth would like that.
