Frances was born in Fort William, Ontario on January 24, 1933. She, along with her mother Gertrude and sisters Mernie, Jessie and Barbara moved to Vancouver, BC while she was in her early teens.
Frances met her husband, Edwin Bergunder, in Vancouver, BC in 1949 and married two years later on March 24, 1951. They are the loving parents of Susan Johnson, Gail Ludwig, Wayne Bergunder (Jeanette), Valerie Streifel (Dan), Donna Brinoni (Mario), Gerald Bergunder (Theresa), Daniel Bergunder (Christine).
Remaining to cherish Frances’ memory is her husband of 74 years, Edwin Bergunder, 6 of her 7 children, 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren. She loved having her family around her, especially during the holidays and everyone’s birthday celebrations.
Preceding Frances in death is her son Wayne Bergunder, son-in-law Mario Brinoni, daughter-in-law Theresa Bergunder, grandson Jeremy Johnson as well as her parents and three sisters.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made to the BC/Yukon Cancer Society.
