

George Edward Phillips, age 75, crossed over the bridge of life on December 29th, 2011 at the Burnaby General Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was a long time resident of North Burnaby and West Vancouver following his many years in Northern B.C.
George was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on June 21st, 1936 to George Arthur Phillips and Sheila Patricia Jones. He was raised with his sister Sheila in Port Alberni, B.C. by his mother and his stepfather, George Lapadat.
George was an entrepreneur who was actively involved in various pursuits including forestry, warehouse & vending, restaurant & food consulting and he was integral in bringing new and innovative products & technology from Europe to the North American market place.
In his free time, George loved spending time with family and friends, enjoying fine food and wine.
Predeceased by his parents and his son Michael, George is survived by his common law wife Anica, his daughter Carrie Lynne (husband Glenn), his granddaughter Annaliese Nicole, Sheila Phillips, his sisters Sheila (husband Graham), Sandra & Aidren, his niece Lisa, and his nephews Robert & Ray. George will always be loved, never forgotten.

A celebration of life will be held on January 12th, 2012 at 2:00pm.
