Gerald Edward Taylor

Gerry Taylor passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord on June 18, surrounded by his family, after a mercifully short battle with cancer. His presence on this earth will be missed by all those who knew him. Gerry was a wandering soul for the first half of his life, but was blessed to meet and marry his true love, Rose, more than 30 years ago. They built a beautiful life together, raising their kids, serving their community, and traveling as much as possible. He was fiercely proud of all his children, worked hard to care for his family, and volunteered his time to help others. He was a veteran of the Canadian Air Force, a talented handyman, and could sell anyone anything. He loved to laugh, play cards, fix things and be with his family and friends. He leaves to remember him his beloved wife Rose, and his six children and their families: Jonathan (Sarah, Charlie, Amber); Josh (Sarah, Rylan, Jax, Jett); Joe (Gill, Emma, Ben, Cali), Sam (Rik, Iain, Rory), Tanya (Jim, Kayla, Brendan, Kiana), and Tracy (Katherine, Luke). He is also survived by his sister Linda, brother David (Diane), their families, sisters in law Flora, Vicki and Irene and many Taylor nieces and nephews and a host of Landry in-laws. He was predeceased by his parents Joe and Doris and his brothers Ben, Earl and George. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favourite charity or perform a random act of kindness.
