Gordon David McRae

We are sad to announce the passing of Gordon David McRae. Gordon was born in Mission, BC and spent his childhood in the woods and streams of Dewdney with his brother and sisters. After high school Gordon went on to work at Scotiabank, where he started a career that spanned 40 years. He moved for work between Mission, Pemberton, Courtenay, and the Okanagan before finally returning to the lower mainland.

It was at Scotiabank in Courtenay that Gordon met his wife, Suzanne, and they went on to build a life together that spanned 52 years. Gordon’s fondest memories were of road trips and time spent with family. He was an avid reader and sports enthusiast.

He is predeceased by his father Jack and survived by his mother Mable, siblings Ron, Karen, and Ann; wife Suzanne, children Michael (Rosana), Paul (Agnes), and Janice (Warren) and grandkids Alycia (Nick), Zachary, Madison, Kaitlyn, Ethan, Jack, Emily, and Lauren.
