Gordon Dixon Reynen

Born in Powell River BC, son of the late Wilfred Reynen & Mary Natalie Pritchard (Shepard).

Gord is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 40 years, Cheryl Reynen nee Wilson; and daughter Jo Sprague (Corey).

Gord is survived by youngest daughter Michelle Feretos (Christos); grandson Austin; grand-daughter Kailar; and the "adopted" family of Rhiannon McMillan (Franco); Sarah Plant (Chris); Lindsay Redekopp; & Aleshia Murrin. A beloved man with many titles, to many he was, "Pops". The "keeper of the strays" with his kind & generous heart. He loved with all that he had.

Grief is far from linear, moving at varying speeds, & wavelengths, without form or sequence. Gord would often relate to Lt. Spock from Star Trek, often comparable to the character on the show. You need to "Understand that every life comes to an end when time demands it. Loss of life is to be mourned, but only if the life was wasted." Gordon didn't waste any time he had on this plain. Volunteering with various organizations; the many jobs over the years; participating in & going to motorsport & curling events... Life was full, his knowledge vast. Always there to provide a helping hand or anecdote to see you through any situation. His love & support, unwavering. Logic & reason, words he lived by. "There's no problems, only solutions." His time here, he has left an imprint on many hearts.
