

In 1933, Ine returned to her hometown in Japan to raise the children in a town known then as Hayato-cho, Aira-gun, Kagoshima.
After graduating high school and university, Hideo worked as teacher at Senbu Junior High School in Kagoshima prefecture and Miyazaki Elementary School in Kanagawa Prefecture.
In 1957, sponsored by his uncle, Hideo moved to Toronto, Canada. He married Sumiko Kito on August 2, 1958 and together built a life and raised 2 sons.
In 1971, the family relocated to Vancouver where they had a daughter and Hideo continued his professional career as a draftsman. He had worked at York Steel in Toronto, and then Zenith Steel Fabricator, Iron Works & Lyco Engineering Service in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland area. He retired in 1996.
Hideo and Sumiko had 3 children - Dennis, Peter and Karen, 5 grandchildren - Thomas, Michael, Melissa, Rebecca and Samantha and 2 great-grandchildren - Lucas and Maxton.
In August 2023, following a serious broken arm, Hideo moved to Ellen Sinclair Kennet Lodge in South Surrey and was transitioned to Elim Village in August 2025 where he was happy and well cared for.
Hideo passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026 and will be remembered with love and gratitude by his family and friends.
