Ian was born in London, England and spent his youth and early adult life as a drummer in a number of ‘beat’ bands in the early 1960’s. He continued to work in the music industry for most of his life in different roles including as a music promotions executive with Mushroom Records in Vancouver B.C. Later in his life Ian trained in the food industry and became an excellent cook working in many food establishments in British Columbia and California and most recently at Fort Langley Golf Course.
Ian is dearly missed by his best friends Helen, Howard and Johnny, his sister Maxine, his cousins, friends and work colleagues. He had a very kind and caring nature and loved sharing his many amazing life stories with good food and laughter. He touched many people’s lives with his positive and vibrant energy.
