James was born in Powarda, India on March 30, 1930, to Bhagwan Singh and Nand Kaur. They traveled to Canada when he was only 7 months old to build a better life for their family. He grew up on his parent’s dairy farm in Aggasiz, BC. He was worked hard his entire life assisting on the farm, and later, operating his trucking company, DuSange and Sons. In his early years he was always busy working on the trucks, but it was later in life when he began to enjoy his hobbies. Always a cowboy at heart, he went back to his roots from childhood and began to raise show cows and shipping his prized cows all over the world. He was proud of the accomplishments and many prizes. He also enjoyed his horses and proudly watched them race at Fraser Downs. When he took time away from his trucks and stables, he would travel around the world and enjoyed the quiet life at his home in Palm Springs. It was his hard work, and his hobbies, which led to a long and full life.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday March 8th, 2025, at Victory Memorial Park (14831-28th Avenue, Surrey, BC) at 11am. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life at 1pm at Hazelmere Golf and Tennis Club (18150-8th Avenue, Surrey, BC)
