Jack died peacefully at George Derby Vets Centre on Nov. 27th.2013. He was predeceased by his loving wife Lisa in 1999. Born Feb.01 1926, he lived his young life in New Westminster. At 18 he enlisted as an R.C. Naval Volunteer and served as an Ablebody Seaman, primarily Convoy protection from March '44 to Feb.'46.
Throughout his life Jack enjoyed being on the road. He was a Tour Bus Operator for many years, meeting Lisa during that time. Together they shared many road adventures.
Jack always enjoyed fishing in B.C's lakes and gardening. As well, he was a great beer slinger at the Eagles Hall in New West.
Jack is survived by his daughter Gloria McLean (Neil) and his son Richard, four Grandsons and two Great Grandchildren and in Lisa's family by Veronica Paulus (Rod), Gary Porter and Carol Laine (Ray), five Grandchildren, eleven Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Grandchild. A special thanks to all Caregivers at George Derby Centre who always strived to make Dad's days comfortable. A family service was held at Victory Memorial Park in Surrey where he now resides peacefully again with Lisa.
