Karen Patricia MacKenzie

Karen Patricia MacKenzie (nee Hales) passed away peacefully on December 9, 2016 in White Rock, British Columbia at the age of 75. Karen was born on April 1, 1941 in Lethbridge, Alberta, grew up in Claresholm, AB and obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Alberta in 1963(4). ‘Beenie’ will be lovingly remembered by her children Kent (France), Monika (Terry) and her three grandchildren Thomas, Tristan, and James and her close nieces and nephews Pam Gaudette (Gord), Brian Gaudette, Deb (Dave) Lysak, Calvin (Deb) Logan, Greg (Pat) Hales, Sue (Bob) Wells, and Wendy (Charles) Jorgensen. Karen spent a life invested in her family life, and her passions; culinary arts, calligraphy, community service and travelling. She was always searching for some new adventure which provided her a high level of excitement and energy. Memorial services will be held in the spring of 2017 at a location to be determined.
