

It is with heavy hearts we said our final good bye to Karen Mary Mortimer who passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026 surrounded by love. A devoted wife, mother, sister, Nana and friend to many, she touched countless lives with kindness, strength, and unwavering generosity.
Born on April 2, 1961, Karen lived a life defined by compassion, integrity, and quiet resilience. Whether through a warm smile, thoughtful advice, or steadfast support, she made others feel seen and valued.
Karen is predeceased by her parents Roy and June Arnold. She is survived by her husband, James Mortimer, children Kevin Mortimer (Misti), Maegan Gendemann (Mason), stepdaughters Nicole Lovett (Rob) and Kathy Coghlan (Bill), the lights of her life, her grandchildren, Arianna, Parker, Lucas and Izzy, step-grandson, Shayden and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her “Sistas”, Linda Blackley (Bill) and Debbie Boyce (Stuart) who will miss her immensely. Karen will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Derby Reach Regional Park in Langley from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. There will be no formal seating so please bring a lawn chair.
