Our gentle giant passed suddenly on Friday, January 4, 2013, in his 69 year. He is predeceased by his son Eric, sister-in-law Eileen and brother-in-law Willi. He is survived by his loving wife Marina, sons Craig (Sheri-Ann), Thomas, grandson Ciaran, sisters Ilse, Phyllis (Sean), sisters-in-law Monica (Patrick), Rita, Kathy, his nephews Brendan, Peter, Adrian (Tina), Drew, Cody, Ross, nieces Amber (Peter), Breanne (Ryan) and Katie. And not forgotten his Tante Ilse, Onkel Kurt and his cousins and their families and those in Germany. Karl will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor, and his love of gadgets. He will be sorely missed for his loving kindness and sense of fairness and trivia knowledge. Prayers will be offered at 7:00 on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Fraser Heights Chapel 14835 Fraser Highway, Surrey. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father David Sajdak at 11:00 on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Our Lady of Good Counsel 10460 139 St, Surrey. The family wishes to extend a special thank-you to the First Responders and the Emergency Staff of Surrey Memorial and Father Sarmed Biloues.
