It is with deep sorrow and love that the family of Kathleen Diane Dorrington, Langley, British Columbia announces her passing on Friday January 9, 2026, at Langley Memorial Hospital surrounded by the love of her family.
Born December 19, 1962 in Penticton, British Columbia, she was the elder daughter of the late Raymond John Brown (deceased) and Marilyn Barbara Lyons (Vancouver, British Columbia). Kathy was a loving and faithful wife who honoured and cherished her husband. Lyndon was Kathy’s BEST friend and she was his. She was a nurturing and caring mother who poured her heart and soul into her children, Brandyn, Jennifer, and Nicholas. Kathy’s faith shaped her kindness, strength, and compassion. Kathy lived each day with grace and purpose – to know her is to have loved her. Kathy will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering love for her God, and her small, yet powerful actions to help others who were less fortunate than she. Though Kathy’s work on Earth is done; we take solace knowing that her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched
As a devoted wife and mother, Kathy worked locally in administrative and customer service roles always choosing work that allowed her to prioritize her family. In her personal life, Kathy enjoyed outdoor activities, especially hiking, in Campbell Heights and Fort Langley. In addition, Kathy took up painting, developing her artistic skills through quiet focus and dedication.
In spite of her myriad work experiences and outside activities, her faith was a central part of her life, and she spent meaningful time studying scriptures and seeking out religious books and materials to deepen her understanding.
