Survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Joan (nee McCarthy. He will be sadly missed by his children Sharon (Pat), David (Dany), Johanna Ridley (Mark), Julie Uhler (David). Grand Children Jennifer and Sara Ridley and Emerson and Marcus Uhler. Pre deceased by brothers Norman, Chuck, Ronald and Rodrick, sisters Lavena Arguin Saunders and Eva Blampied. Lovingly remembered by his brothers Donald and Robert and his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He served his country during WWII, joining the Reserve Canadian Militia in 1942, then active service in the RCNVR at age 17 in 1943. He was proud of his service with the British 11th and Canadian 65th Motor Torpedo Boat Flotillas in the European Theatre. The units were honoured by a Cairn and Plaque in the coastal city of Oostend, Belgium.
He often reminisced about his 42 years in the employ of Dun and Bradstreet in Montreal and Vancouver, where in his day was well known throughout the commercial, industrial credit community.
