February 15, 1944 - February 23, 2011
It is with deepest sadness that we mourn the sudden loss of our beloved Father, Brother, Husband, Uncle, Grandfather and friend, Lazar Ilic. Lazo was born on February 15, 1944 in Sanski Most, Bosnia and made his home in Canada in 1970. Actively involved in the Serbian Orthodox Church and Community, Lazo celebrated his heritage and cultural traditions which he proudly passed on to the younger generations. Sorely missed by his three children Gordana (Steve), Maja (Michael), Nikola (Neda) and grandchildren Andrew, Natasha, Tiyana, Mattheus; his loving wife Milka, with her three children Martin, Karl, Sonja and grandchildren; brother Nikola and sister Boja with their families and his best friend of all - Buddy.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 4 2011 at 11:00am at St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church, 7837 Canada Way, Burnaby, followed by burial at 2:00pm at Victory Memorial Park 14831 28Ave, South Surrey. Reception to follow at Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church.
