Maria was born in Pico, Azores before coming to Canada in 1963. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Manuel. Predeceased by son, Norberto. She will be lovingly remembered by son, Carlos (Julia); granddaughter, Michelle; daughter, Maria Lucia (Mike) and grandchildren, Danielle, Vanessa and Travis. Maria was a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 11:00 am at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2250 150 St, Surrey, BC. Father John Tritschler officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, BC. The family would like to thank Dr. Bryan Prentice and Harmony Health Care for the wonderful care provided.
