Marie Josephine Booth

BOOTH, Marie Josephine, Born May 31, 1936, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 21, 2025, surrounded by her family. Mom is predeceased by her loving husband Sid and is survived by their 7 sons Dale (Rachel), Philip, Andrew (Darlene), James, Robert (Arlene), Stanley, and Cory (Vicki). Mom had 9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Mom is also survived by her 4 siblings, Jeannette (Edward), Leo (Shirley), Joe (Danuta) and Rose (Ray) and has many loving relatives across Canada, including BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the Yukon.

The family would like to give special thanks to Mom’s granddaughter Delilah Dooley who works in the care industry in the Okanagan; she was at mom’s side when needed and was a great advocate for her care. Mom was able to stay in her own home for much longer due to the loving care of our brother Stanley who lived with her for the past 10 years. We would also like to thank the staff at South Okanagan General Hospital and McKinney Place in Oliver, BC for the wonderful care and support they showed our Mom and family.

Memorial services for Mom will be held at 1:00 pm on April 19th, at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, Surrey. Donations in Mom's name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Our hearts are broken, but we take comfort in knowing that our Mom and Dad are together once again, dancing.
