November 3, 1918 – January 23, 2016
Mom passed away suddenly and peacefully on the afternoon of January 23rd.
She lived a long and healthy life and often said that she thought it was a pretty good one. Marjorie was predeceased by her first husband Horace (Jack) Smee in 1953 and by her second husband John Rixon in 1987. She will be greatly missed by her son Richard and his wife Sarah, grandchildren Matt, Karen, and Cathy; nieces in Idaho: Merilyn, Rae, and Julie, and her nephews in California: Ron and Bob. Marjorie will also be fondly remembered by Frank, her very good friend of the past thirty years. Heartfelt thanks go out to the staff of Westminster House for their kindness and care of Marjorie during her time there. At her request there will be no formal memorial service, however a family celebration of her life is planned for later this year.
