It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Marnie. She was a much-loved sister, auntie, daughter and friend to many. She came into this world on August 31, 1963 in Salmon Arm and spent her first nine years in that community. She lived in Surrey, Vernon, Vancouver, New Westminster, and Langley. She spent her last few years in White Rock, with many happy walks down to the beach. Marnie loved the beach, and travelling, snorkelling, spending time with her friends and family, rescuing dogs, making jewellery, and recently getting out to perform standup comedy. She was pre-deceased by her mother Alice and her step-father Clarence. Marnie is survived by her sister Sheri, brother Brian, father Ross, half-sister Canface, step-sisters Kelly and Sandra, step-brother Michael, her nephew MacKenzie, nieces Aivrey, Sophia, Vanessa, Amye, Catelyn, Rebecca, Kilah and Karly. She was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service and reception will be held at Morgan Creek golf club on August 10, 2019 starting at 1:00 pm. Donations would be gladly accepted in Marnie’s name by the Avalon Recovery Society and Furever Freed Dog Rescue.
