It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son Matthew who was taken from us to soon at the age of 36. He passed doing what he loved, where he loved to be and with the people he loved near him.
Matthew brought immeasurable joy and light into the lives of everyone who knew him. He will deeply missed by his parents Walter & Anna, his brother Adam (Chantelle), his grandmother Maria, his niece Milana, nephew Weston, his uncles, aunts, cousins, beloved friends and the light of his life his dog Deja.
Matt's love of family and friends was undeniable. He was always there to help anyone that asked.
He was an outdoorsman, he loved hunting with his friends, spending time up at Paska Lake with his friends and family, being out on the quads, side by side or snowmobiling. He also loved watching and playing sports, be it hockey, soccer, football or out for a game of golf with his buddies.
Hardworking doesn't even begin to describe Matt. He worked for D&R Fire Protection since 2006, starting with absolutely no experience, he watched, learned and excelled. He became an integral part of the company and is well respected by his employer, his team, colleagues and every one that he new and worked with in the industry. Matt was proud to work for Dan and Richard who gave him the opportunity, trust and empowerment that helped shape the man he became. They made a huge impact on his life, and for this we will be forever grateful.
He LOVED his friends and their families, many of which have been in his life since elementary and high school. They shared many vacations throughout the years and Matt enjoyed spending his weekends with his group of friends and showing off his dance moves!
Though Matt's time with us was cut short, the depth of love and happiness he shared will forever remain in our hearts.
Rest in peace Matt, until we meet again.
