Mavis peacefully passed away at 88 years of age on August 12, 2016 with her family by her side. She is survived by her loving family: Husband, Roald, son Steven (Nicole), Granddaughters Adelyn and Brielle, and her close extended family in the USA. She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Margaret Stevenson, and her sister Marcia Simanton (Gordon). Mavis was a kind, caring, and gentle soul who above all loved and cherished her family and long time friends. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten by all those that knew her. A special thank you to all the staff at Weatherby 2 Pavilion at Peace Arch Hospital for the special care provided to Mavis and to her long time friends Rita Whyte, and Anne and Henry Proteau for their visits and unconditional support.A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 1:30 PM at the Victory Memorial Park Funeral Center, 14831 28 Ave, Surrey, BC.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canuck Foundation would be appreciated.
