

Herrmann, Paul born December 2, 1924 in Gnadenfeld, Russia, Paul passed away peacefully May 2, 2010 at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock, B.C. He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 55 years, Rachel, his children Marnie (Bo), Colleen (Rick), Fred, Pat (Brian), Karl (Wendy), Kathy (Dave), his grandchildren Christopher, Melissa, Michelle, Sean, Sarah, Paul, Jade and Asia, his pre-deceased baby sister Lilly and his pre-deceased brother Albert (Magdalena and family), Jacob (Melita and family) and Johann (Erna and family). In search of a better life Paul immigrated to Canada in 1949. He settled in Vancouver where he became a proud electrician of I.B.E.W. Local 213. He enjoyed the simple things in life and being outdoors, be it a walk around Langara Golf Course, playing soccer with the neighborhood children, skiing/ hiking Mount Seymour, bike riding to UBC, golfing and gardening. He taught himself, and then others, to ski, golf and play tennis. He passed on the wisdom of his life lessons and his work ethic to his children and his grandchildren. His stories and songs will be missed by all who had the opportunity to hear them. “Fly away home” dad, your work here is done. A celebration of dad’s life will be held at Victory Memorial park Funeral Centre 14831-28th Avenue, Surrey, B.C. on Friday May 14, 2010 at 1:00 pm.
