AVIS DE DÉCÈS

Peter John Morse

4 novembre 1954 – 13 décembre 2025
Avis de décès de Peter John Morse
AUX SOINS DE

First Memorial Funeral Services Fraser Heights Chapel

Pete passed away December 13, 2025, at Royal Columbia Hospital in New Westminster, at the age of 71.

Peter was born on November 4, 1954, in Vancouver British Columbia to parents Harry and Phyllis (Fairey). He was a resident of Surrey for the past 34 years. Pete is survived by his wife of 35 years, Susan, his 3 daughters Katy (Brandon), Megan, and Sarah and his cherished granddaughter Tilly. Mourning his loss are brother Bob and family in Australia, sister Pat and family in Ontario, cousins and their families in Ontario, mother in-law Sandy, sister’s in-law Angela and Cristina, brother in-law Larry and their families, good friends Dave and Jennie and all the great friends he made throughout his life. Pete was predeceased by his brother Ken in 1996.

Pete worked in the food industry as a millwright for over 30 years. He was a handyman around the house and never said no to anyone that needed a repair or help with a task around their house. His daughters knew he was only a phone call away to help with anything they needed.

Pete was the best “girl dad” and was there to support his 3 girls whenever and wherever they needed it, to watch them play the sports they loved and to coach softball, a sport he loved. His impact on the softball diamond and in the dugout will be remembered by dozens of players and their families. He was an amazing Poppy to his granddaughter never saying no to anything she wanted to do and always allowing her to help him in the garden and around the house.

Pete and Susan loved a good road trip and planned almost all of them around the amazing wineries in British Columbia. Sitting with a great glass of wine and watching an amazing sunset are the very best memories they shared. Other great memories are all the wonderful family vacations, sitting on the Lido deck around the fire pit, s’mores, his sense of humor, picking blueberries, prime rib dinners, father/daughter camping trips, his passion for his garden and cutting down a Christmas tree every year.

Pete loved to watch sports and supported the Vancouver Canucks, B.C. Lions, Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Raptors and the Miami Dolphins. He also loved to watch golf, the Olympics, Aussie Footy, and any kind of world cup event. There wasn’t a sport he didn’t like.

There is no service by request, but the family will be planning a celebration of life in the new year. In lieu of flowers a donation to youth sport or to Canuck Place in Pete’s honour would be appreciated.

“The magic in a sunset makes us feel grateful, amazed and at peace.”
