It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert John Ecclestone age 95. He will be missed terribly by his son Robert and his wife Lynda, and grandchildren Kathleen and David. Robert was a WWII Captain in the Fort Garry Horse Regiment, Tank Corps. On D-Day he landed on the Normandy Coast and assisted in the liberation of the Netherlands. He was always full of hope and enthusiasm, and he loved people. He was a devoted father and a wonderful family man, He had a strong faith, and is now with his wife Lorraine who passed away in 2008.
A time of Visitation will take place at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre 14831 -28 Avenue, Surrey BC on Wednesday, August 24 from 6-8 pm.
