Robert McPhail

Robert Lawrence McPhail, 54, of Surrey, BC passed away unexpectedly on Sunday September 21, 2014. Robert was born in Calgary, Alberta and for the past 26 years lived in the lower mainland in New Westminster and most recently the White Rock/South Surrey area. Robert will be sadly missed by his daughter Chanel, mother Patricia, brothers Keith and Cameron and sisters Shelley and Toni, as well as his many friends and colleagues. Robert was an accomplished Executive Management Consultant operating through his business 2ic Strategy. Robert applied his broad industry and project experience as a Director, President, CEO and CFO, and financial advisor for such companies as Capstream Ventures Inc., West Coast Forest Products Ltd.; Innotech Aviation, the Stern Group and Husky Oil.

Robert loved flying, and anything associated with flight. He was an avid collector of aviation art, chess memorabilia, books and one-of-a-kind/ unique items. When his playful/mischievous side took over in his spare time he would fly kites or his remote control helicopter, shoot pool and attend the odd airplane race or air show. He did hold a pilot’s license and was a member of the Pacific Flying Club but aspects of his health prevented him from flying which he truly missed.

Robert graduated with an MBA from Royal Roads University in 2001; a Diploma in Management Consulting 2005 (D.MC) from the Grenoble Graduate School of Management in Grenoble, France. Afterward he attained a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation in 2009 and was working to finish his Chartered Business Valuator.
