Robert Seekings

Today we celebrate he life of Robert Trueman Seekings, born June 30th, 1924 and passed away suddenly Thursday April 18, 2013 in White Rock, BC.

He would have been 89 on his next birthday. Bob will be lovingly rememebered and sadly missed by his wife of 67 years Gerry, son Dan ( Emma ) and daughter Lesley ( Brian ). Grandchildren Jonathan ( Shula ), David ( Kim ), Brett and Shane; great grandchildren Stephen, Luther, Jude and Pierce; his sisters Kay, Flo and Myrtle.

Bob joins his grandson Stephen, who predeceased him, as well as his parents and 6 of his sisters and brothers.

Born in Headingly, Manitoba, Bob grew up on the family farm. In 1941 he enlisted intot he Armed Forces and after training, he shipped out to war, first Africa then Europe. He ended up in Brussels, where he met Gerry. After marrying and moving backa to Canada, Dan and Later Lesley, we born. Bob's military career took hom on 3 seperate tours in Europe and several areas in Canada. He arrived in White Rock, where he lived for the last 25 years. Bob enjoyed a variety of activities over his life but if he had to pick one favorite it surely would be his love of playing cards, particulary bridge.

Bob, we"llmiss your ready smile and sense of fun and humor !
