Ronald Norman Vincent

Simpson, Robert John passed away unexpectedly March 4th at Peace Arch Hospital. predeceased by his grandson Matthew John Cahill in 1998. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Marjorie; daughters Diana, Gail (Gary); grandchildren Brodie (Nicole), Sean (Lina), Kimberley and many other family and friends. Robert graduated from McGill University in 1950 with an Engineering degree. He started his career with Dominion Engineering in 1948, then transitioned to HG Acres Consulting in 1963. In 1977 he moved back to Quebec with SNC Consulting. In 1989, Robert moved out to Vancouver to work for Bechtel Canada. Retirement followed in 2004. Robert had many hobbies such as sailing, (teaching the Canadian Power and Sail Squadron) photography, traveling and model boats. Throughout the years he was also quite the athlete and outdoors person, enjoying water polo, camping boating, skiing, curling bowling, and swimming. Robert lived a very full life and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday March 9th at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre 14831 28 Ave Surrey, BC at 12:00 – 2:00 pm. Funeral Services to follow at 2:00 pm.
