Survived by loving husband of 54 years, Fred A. Sachs. Five sons, Leslie, Burt, Karl, Eric, Chris and predeceased by sons, Martin, Norman and Wilhelm. Grandchildren, Lauren, Daniel, Anson, Austin, Bethany and Makenna. Daughters-in-law, Diane, Catherine, Gina and Teresa.
She was the only child of Anna Carlotta Olsson and John William Nelson who immigrated from Sweden to Canada. She was independent and adventurous, wanting to go everywhere and see everything.
She loved to dance at the Hastings Auditorium in Vancouver. She liked clogg dancing, playing Bingo and watching her soap operas and crime shows on TV. Fred and Ruth would go to the Canadian Legion on Friday and Saturday nights. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to Alaska, Hawaii, Las Vegas, Europe, Australia and through the Panama Canal.
She lived in Vancouver, British Columbia, Long Beach, California and Seattle, Washington where she also worked as a bookkeeper.
