Wilhelm Kleefisch

Wilhelm “Willi” Kleefisch of Surrey, B.C. passed away peacefully on July 8, 2022. Willi was born in Efferen, Germany on January 10, 1939. He also lived in Austria and Spain before coming to Canada in 1989. Willi met Donna at Eagle Point Golf Course in Kamloops B.C. where they were married in 1994.

Willi loved life and lived his life in the moment and to the fullest. He loved the natural beauty of Canada and was so proud to become a Canadian citizen in 2009. He had a genuine and sincere appreciation of life in Canada; hunting, fishing, cabin life at Shuswap, smoking salmon as well as making his own prosciutto, pepperoni and sausage to give to family and friends. Willi felt dearly loved by his Canadian family. Affectionately known as Grandpa Willi, he had a dear and precious relationship with Lauren, Aidan, Olivia and Ben.

He is survived by his wife Donna (Cowell); daughter Petra (Christoph); son Sascha (Sara), stepsons Rand (Kelly) and Ryan (Lisa); brother Josef (Gerda); sister Margaret (Hans); and grandchildren Marcus, Niklas, Patrick, Julian, Simon, Lauren, Aidan, Olivia, Benjamin and great grandchildren Isabella, Jana, Mara, Marta and Mariona.

Willi is predeceased by his father Franz Kleefisch; mother Gertrud Roggendorf; brothers Adolf, Hans, Christian Kleefisch.
