

She joins her beloved husbands Manuel Brilliant and John Hunt; grandson Walter Thompson; mother Edelina Furtado and father Jacinto; sister Irene Silva and her husband Antone (Tony); sister Mary (Mae) Medeiros and her husband Gilbert; brother-in-law Daniel Pimental; nephew Glen Furtado; as well as many dear friends.
She is survived by daughter Patricia Thompson and her husband John Ritchie; son Carl Brilliant and his wife Nancy; step-daughter Susan Legault and her husband Marc; grandchildren Bradley Thompson, Tracy McKay and Derek Brilliant; great-grandchildren Trent and Monica Thompson, Hayden and Brodie McKay, Dylan Brilliant; sister Dorothy Pimental; brother Manuel (Mal) Furtado and his wife Adeline (Bunny); niece Geraldine Sowersby; nephews Daniel Pimental, Jr. and Kenneth Silva.
She faithfully attended Our Lady of Fatima Church, now St. Francis of Assisi Church, for many years when she lived in Swansea. She relocated to St. Augustine Florida to live near her son Carl and his wife Nancy in 2006 following the passing of her husband John.
She has left behind a great legacy. She will always live in our hearts and prayers.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 530 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea. Visitation will be held prior to her Mass from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her honor may be made to Southcoast VNA 200 Mill Rd., Fairhaven, MA 02719.
