Anita G. (Moreau) LaFrance

Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Joseph A. and Gloria (Lemire) LaFrance, she was a longtime resident of Swansea and a communicant of St. Michael Church now St. Francis of Assisi Church.

She was past president of the Swansea Catholic Women’s Club, volunteer at Clifton Skilled Nursing Care Center for many years, active member and past president of the Swansea Senior Citizens, Board Member of the Swansea Council on Aging, and a member of the Fall River Senior Center. She enjoyed traveling and needlework and was a talented seamstress.

Surviving: one son; Robert N. LaFrance and his wife Marie B. of Tiverton, RI, two granddaughters; Patrice M. Coogan of Tiverton, RI and Anne Marie Dias and her husband Mark of Westport, MA, four great grandchildren; Nicole and Caitlin Coogan, Stephanie and Samantha Dias, one brother; Robert N. Moreau and his wife Gertrude of Yuba City, CA. She was also sister of the late Richard R. and Joseph A. Moreau, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial mass on Monday, Aug. 1, 2011 at 10AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 530 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Patient Activity Fund c/o Clifton Skilled Nursing Care Center 500 Wilbur Ave., Somerset, MA. 02725. Arrangements are in the care of the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT BIRCHCREST 189 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea.
