Anna R. Swanson

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Michael and Ellen (Sullivan) Farrell, she lived in Providence, Swansea, and Somerset, before moving to Fall River in 2009.

In addition to being a homemaker, she was a member of both the Paul Dever and MARC Associations.

She is survived by two sons; Michael J. Swanson and his wife Roberta, Herman L. Swanson Jr. and his wife Melanie all of Swansea, two daughters; Anna Marie Swanson of Fall River, Sharon I. Swanson of Somerset, one sister; Helen Jordan of N. Smithfield, RI, five grandchildren; Mary Anne Souza, Brandt Swanson, James Loretta, Lisa and Erin Swanson, thirteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was mother of the late Kevin T. Swanson and sister of the late Irene Harrington, Margaret Gorton, Kathleen Neville, James, Edward, William, and Joseph Farrell.

Her Funeral will be held Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 9:00AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at BIRCHCREST, 189 Gardner’s Neck Rd., Swansea, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. Thomas More Church, 386 Luther Ave., Somerset. Visiting hours Friday from 4:00 to 8:00PM. Contributions in her honor may be made to Westport Associates, P.O. Box N565, Westport, MA 02790. Burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, Swansea.
