Annie was born in Somerset and had been a resident of Rehoboth since 1948. She was a graduate of Joseph Case High School and attended the Thibodeau Business School.
In addition to being a homemaker, she was an active communicant of St. Dominic’s Church and enjoyed participating in church activities. She also enjoyed knitting and gardening.
She is survived by two sons, Arthur C. Souza Jr., and his wife Debra of East Providence, RI, Paul R. Souza and his wife Karen of Taunton and one grandson Kyle M. Souza. She was the sister of the late John Mello and Laura Gruca.
Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 10:00AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM in St. Dominic’s Church, 1277 G.A.R. Highway, Swansea, MA 02777. Visiting hours Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00PM. Contributions in her honor may be made to St. Dominic’s Church or to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Framingham, MA 02241. Burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, Swansea.
