Tony was born in Fall River to the late Antone Mello and Margarida (Rego) Mello. Tony is the brother to James Mello, the late Manuel R. Mello, the late Almarinda (Mello) Feijo, the late Evangelina Mello, and the late Mary (Mello) Miranda.
Tony lived in Fall River before later moving to Somerset where he resided for many years. He worked at Horner Millwork in Somerset as a window maker for 18 years, prior to that at Phoenix Windows & Doors in Fall River for 8 years.
Tony was very proud to be a Veteran of the United States Army who served his country in Germany during World War II.
Tony is survived by his Goddaughter and niece Laura Cabral, several nieces and nephews; a stepdaughter Joan Desroches and a Stepson Albert Dubois in addition to several step grandchildren.
His funeral will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 10am in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, followed by his burial in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown, RI. www.waring-sullivan.com
