Barbara C. Hoyle

Barbara (LaBossiere) Hoyle, age 88, passed away on April 12, 2013. She was the wife of the late James H. Hoyle, Jr. She was daughter of the late Frank and Gertrude (Fahey) LaBossiere. She leaves three sons, Jay and Jeffrey Hoyle of Swansea, and Jon Hoyle of Fall River and one daughter, Jayne (Hoyle) Wilson of Swansea. She was also mother of the late Sharon Hoyle. She was grandmother of Scott Hoyle, Kathy (Hoyle) Hajder, Matthew Wilson, Kerry (Wilson) Davis, Dr. Kathryn (Wilson) Maier, Joshua Hoyle, Adam Hoyle, Jason Hoyle, Justin Hoyle, Jessica (Hoyle) Castro, and Jeremy Hoyle. She was also grandmother of the late Mark Hoyle and sister of the late William LaBossiere.

She was a graduate of Sacred Hearts Academy Class of 1941, and Bryant College. She worked in the business office of Catholic Memorial Home for many years. She belonged to the Sacred Heart Women’s Guild, The Holy Name Guild, The Daughters of Isabella, The Catholic Women’s Club, and The Classy Ladies. She liked to read, play cards, do jig saw puzzles, dine out, and take long rides. She especially enjoyed being with her family.

She also leaves sixteen great grandchildren, Camden and Madelyn Hoyle, Kaylin and Ryan Hajder, Shaun and Shelby Wilson, Taylor and Kendra Davis, Marshall Maier, Emma and Gracie Hoyle, Addison and Connor Hoyle, Jason Hoyle, and Jaela and Jordin Hoyle. She leaves one niece Sharon (LaBossiere) Palmer and four nephews William, James, Thomas and Steven LaBossiere.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 7:30AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at BIRCHCREST, 189 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00AM in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., Fall River. Visiting hours Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mark Hoyle Memorial Scholarship Fund, 51 Lockewood Circle, Swansea, MA. 02777. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River.
