Gail (Demoranville) Green, age 79, of Swansea passed away Monday August 4, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Raymond “Pete” Green to whom she was married for 33 years.
A daughter of the late Arnold and Elizabeth (Brightman) Demoranville, she was a lifetime resident of Swansea, a graduate of Joseph Case High School, Class of 1953 and received her Associates degree in Dental Hygiene from the Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene in Boston. Gail loved her work and was a dental hygienist for almost 30 years in Boston and then Fall River.
A very active member of the First Christian Congregational Church in Swansea, she was a volunteer for numerous church activities including the choir, former treasurer of WHO and especially involved with the Thrifty Shop.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Geldart and husband Roderick of Swansea, Pamela Mogilnicki of Westport and Betsy Green-Baker and husband John of West Boylston, MA, her brother, Bruce Demoranville and wife Lanie of Swansea, her sister, Jean Merrill of Danielson, CT, six grandchildren, J. R. and Katie Geldart, Tom Mogilnicki, Matt, Peter and Abby Baker and her beloved dog and constant companion, Mollie. She was pre-deceased by her sister Fay Logee.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, August 8, 2014 from 5-8 PM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT BIRCHCREST, 189 Gardners Neck Rd. Swansea with a Memorial Service Saturday, April 9, 2014 at 10 AM in First Christian Congregational Church, 1113 GAR Highway, Swansea, MA 02777. Contributions in her honor may be made to her Church. Burial private.
