Geoffrey R. Partridge

Geoffrey R. Partridge, “Geoff,” age 41, of Swansea, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at his residence. Born in Providence, the son of Richard and Janice (Rybka) Partridge of Swansea, he spent his youth in Somerset prior to moving to Swansea in 1994.

A graduate of Joseph Case High School, Class of 2000, he attended Bristol Community College. He last worked for Central Paper Company in Pawtucket in various positions.

Geoff had a passion for history, especially anything WWII related, music and movies of the classic film noir period. As a lover of the outdoors, he enjoyed photography and spending time fishing and biking. A longtime member of the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 303, Swansea, Geoff attained the rank of Eagle Scout, attending several National Jamborees as both a scout and an assistant leader.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Ryan Partridge of Swansea and Andrew Partridge of Denver CO, his uncles, Stephen Partridge and Mark Partridge both of New Bedford and his aunt, JoAnn Willis, and her husband Michael of Pittsfield.

His Funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 9:00AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. John of God Church, 1036 Brayton Avenue, Somerset. Burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his honor may be made to Boy Scout Troop 303, Campership Fund, c/o American Legion Post 303, 73 Ocean Grove Ave., Swansea, MA 02777.
