

Born in Fall River, son of the late Henry J. Michaud Sr. and the late Mary Jane (Daigle) Michaud. He was a graduate of Durfee High School and an Army Veteran seeing service during World War II, and a longtime communicant of Holy Name Church where he also served as an usher.
He began his work career at the former Sagamore Mills in Fall River, and was later employed as a union carpenter for Beaudoin and Sons until his retirement in approximately 1992. He was a member of carpenters union local #1305, an avid bowler, and very involved in the Toys for Tots program. Henry was very appreciative to all and always had a smile, and was a very giving and kind man.
Surviving two daughters: Loretta C. Smith and her husband Richard of East Taunton, MA., Donna J. Viveiros and her fiancée David Rego of Somerset, MA., one son Henry J. Michaud III and his wife Patricia of Coral Springs, FL., four grandchildren Jeremy Smith, Scott Viveiros, Joseph and William Michaud, three great grandchildren Dayna, Joseph and Dominic Smith. He was brother of the late Normand, Albert and Roland Michaud, Jean Bruneau and Sr. Cecile Michaud OP.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 8:30am from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT BIRCHCREST, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea followed by his funeral Mass at 10am in Holy Name Church 709 Hanover St., Fall River.
