Born in Providence, Rhode Island, a son of the late Joseph D. and Pearl (Hulling) Anthony, he lived in Providence and Seekonk before moving to Rehoboth many years ago.
A graduate of Seekonk High School, Mr. Anthony worked as a Heavy Machine Operator for his family business General Road Trucking and B&B Trucking.
In addition to his former wife, he is survived by two daughters: Tayla Anthony and Madison Anthony both of Cranston; three sisters: Elizabeth “Betty” Anthony and her husband William Colello of Rehoboth, Janice Serpa and her husband William of Seekonk and Catherine “Cathy” Anthony of Seekonk; one brother: Charles “Charlie” Anthony and his wife Janice of Coventry; one grandson: Joseph Caprio Jr. as well as many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Joseph Anthony Jr.
His Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 10:00AM in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston, RI 02920. Relatives and friends invited. In In lieu of flowers, contributions in his honor may be made to the American Cancer Society, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
