John J. Doyle Sr.

John J. Doyle Sr., age 75, of Swansea, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Dorothy (Daft) Doyle, former husband of Rosalie T. (Maher) Doyle of Taunton, and companion of the late Lillian Ford.

Born in Attleboro, a son of the late James L. Doyle Sr. and Rosalie (Kirylo) Doyle, he had been a resident of Swansea since 1983.

Mr. Doyle was a graduate of Attleboro High School where he set several athletic records. He retired as a shipping and receiving supervisor from Matrix in 2004 and prior to that he worked at Augat for many years. He was a longtime member of the RI and Fall River Pigeon Clubs.

He is survived by four sons: John J. Doyle Jr. of Spokane Valley, WA, Robert J. Doyle of Swansea, Steven M. Doyle and his wife April of Halifax, Shawn C. Doyle and his former wife Carolyn of Swansea, two daughters: Deborah A. Jarvis and her husband Gary of Warwick, Sandra M. Brito of Taunton, two sisters: Theresa Peck and her husband Phillip of Norton, Helen Boarman of Taunton, ten grandchildren, one great grandson, and many nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Marie Chase-Johnson, Richard Doyle and James L. Doyle Jr.

His private graveside service is in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Birchcrest, Swansea. In lieu of flowers contributions in his honor may be made to Southcoast V.N.A., 200 Mill Rd., Fairhaven, MA 02719.
