

He graduated from Somerset High School, Class of 2005. He was a proud member of the SHS 2004 Division 2 State Soccer Championship team that was inducted in to the SHS Hall of Fame in 2015. He attended Bristol Community College and then onto UMass Dartmouth where he majored in Art.
Jon loved his family dearly and was excited to have recently become an uncle. Jonathan loved the outdoors; he was an avid rock climber and surfer, enjoyed hiking, kayaking, soccer, and many outdoor games. He had a passion for music and art; including singing, writing, playing several instruments, as well as drawing and painting. He proudly completed the Weld-to-Work Program in Providence with intentions to begin their next level of certification.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Joshua N. Horton, his wife Danielle and his step-daughter Brianna Martin, his brother, Andrew W. Horton, his wife Megan, and their son Landon E. Horton all of Rhode Island; His Uncle John Horton and his wife Veronica Jenkins of RI and his Uncle Stephen Silvia and his wife Deborah of MA; his Aunt Gay Ferrante and her late husband, Michael Ferrante of CA and Auntie Cindy Paradis and her husband Paul of MA and several cousins.
His memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 12:00PM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME AT BIRCHCREST, 189 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea, MA 02777. Visitation is prior to service from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. Burial will be private. Relative and friends are invited.
