Born in Providence, RI a son of the late Antonio and Emma (Marion) Olivo he was a longtime resident of Swansea.
A veteran of the United States Navy, he served during World War II. A skilled steel worker, he worked at Newman-Crosby Steel for 40 years until his retirement in 1984.
He is survived by one daughter, Joan Calabro; two step-daughters, Cheryl Bzdula and her husband Wayne and Donna Wingate; two sons, Thomas Olivo and Stephen Olivo; two step-sons, Bruce Wingate and his wife Diane and David Wingate and his wife Gail and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Due to current restrictions on public gatherings, his funeral service and burial with Military Honors will be held at a later date and are in the care of Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, Swansea. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his honor may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 370 7th Ave Ste. 1802 New York, NY 10001.
