Born in Fall River he was the son of Joseph A. Sr. and the late Danielle (Cyr) Paiva of Swansea.
A graduate of Joseph Case High School, Class of 2015, Joey was a skilled athlete who excelled at just about every sport he played, including baseball and hockey. An avid gamer, he also loved listening to music and he especially loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include: his father, Joseph A. Paiva, Sr. of Swansea; his sister and best friend, Zoe Cellemme and her husband Edward and their daughter Lydia Joy Cellemme of Swansea; his paternal grandparents who raised him, Manuel Sr. and Evangelina Paiva of Swansea; his maternal grandmother, Deborah Cyr of Fall River; and his aunts and uncles: Manuel Paiva, Jr., George Paiva and his wife Jennifer, Lisa Paiva, Janet Annarummo and her husband Todd, Julie Jervis and her husband David, Jennifer Cyr, and Adam Cyr; and many cousins and friends.
His funeral service will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 12:00 pm in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd, Swansea. Burial is private.
