Lydia Rusnock

Lydia (Costa) Rusnock, age 90, of Dartmouth, passed away, Monday, December 21, 2020 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. She was the wife of the late Andrew S. “Andy” Rusnock Sr.
Born in Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal, a daughter of the late Francisco and Maria (Arruda) Costa, she was a longtime resident of Swansea.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, Class of 1948, she graduated in the top ten of her class. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Fall River Gas Company for many years.
An avid reader and a wealth of knowledge, she enjoyed walking and doing all types of crossword puzzles; in particular the New York Times. She was a woman of great mind and heart and was adored by all who knew her. Her family was her pride and joy and she had endless love, patience and wisdom to share.
She is survived by her three children, Andrew S. Rusnock Jr., and his wife Teresa of Kingston, NH, Michael P. Rusnock and his wife Robin of Rehoboth, Nancy A. Juvinall and her husband Gary of Dartmouth, two granddaughters, Lauren Rusnock and Rachael Juvinall; two great-grandchildren, Aaliyah and Braxton and many nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Jocelyn Rusnock and sister of the late Dimas Costa.
Due to current restrictions on public gatherings, her funeral and burial will be private. Steve, Mike and Nancy, I’m sorry to read of your Mom’s passing. I think of you guys every time I pass by Dillon Lane. We had some great times in the basement playing cards til all hours. My thoughts are with you all. Steve Hyland

Gram- So many memories rushing through my mind. If I could put them all down in words this would be a book. Thank you for accepting me into your family like I was your own, Thank you for loving me like I was your own, Thank you for raising and nurturing and loving my children as you did with your own. I have been so lucky to have had such wonderful in-laws, and I CHERISH all times gone by. I will LOVE and MISS you until I see your face again, I am happy that you are with Grampy and Jocelyn, I know the reunion was beautiful. Love you Gram~XXOO

I walked for many years at the Swansea Mall with Lydia. She was a wonderful person who certainly did love her family. I will fondly remember the many good talks & laughs we had. My condolences to her family.
