Minnie L. Borje Massad

Born in Warren, RI, a daughter of the late Elias and Martha (Wassaf) Borje, she lived in Fall River for 34 years and Somerset for over 50 years before moving to Milton in 2008.

Mrs. Massad was a Manager at the former Borje Dry Goods Store in Fall River. She was also an Administrative Assistant for Munroe Distributing before retiring in 1981.

She was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church where she was a member of the Women’s Guild. She was a member of the Somerset Seniors Club. Mrs. Massad was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by one daughter; Adele M. Cabral and her husband Antonio Cabral Jr. of Somerset, one son; Peter E. Massad and his wife Melissa T. of Milton, MA, one brother; Joseph Borje and his wife Edie of Oceanside, CA, one sister; Barbara G. Leboeuf and her husband Henri of Assonet, sister-in-law; Ellen Borje of Virginia Beach, VA, three grandsons; Peter E., James E. and Daniel A. Cabral, one granddaughter; Madison G. Massad, four step grandchildren; Maureen Landry, Timothy, Antonio III, and Michael Cabral, 13 step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Linda Carlone and John Borje

Her Funeral will be held Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 8:00AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at BIRCHCREST, 189 Gardner’s Neck Road, Swansea followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30AM in St. Patrick’s Church, 306 South Street, Somerset. Visiting hours Friday from 4:00 to 7:00PM. Contributions in her honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
