Russell C. Britland Jr, age 63 of Swansea, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 in Charlton Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Barbara (Cestodio) Britland to whom he had been happily married to for 31 years.
Born in Fall River, a son of the late Russell C. Britland Sr. and Helen M. (Bradbury) Britland, he was a long time area resident. Russell graduated from Tiverton High School, class of 1973 and had attended Bristol Community College. Prior to his retirement in 2016, he was a machinist at Duro Finishing for 39 years and the owner/operator of Rusty’s landscaping.
He loved his wife Barbara dearly and his children and grandchildren. He was a constant joker, a huge foodie, loved trips to Foxwoods with his partner in crime David Cestodio to play Bingo and to enjoy the Buffett. In memory of Russ, the family would like everyone to raise a glass of Irish whiskey in Russell’s honor.
