

Born in Tacoma, Washington a son of the late Gustave and Christina (Grenvelk) Johnson, he spent his youth in Washington. He traveled extensively and lived all over the world throughout his service time and career. He lived in Gig Harbor, Washington from 1983 until 2008 before moving to Fall River.
He graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma and was a Veteran of the Armed Forces having retired from the United States Air Force after 21 years of service. He was a consultant for Metropolitan Life Insurance in Fall River from 1964 to 1978 and in Germany from 1978 until his retirement in 1982.
Mr. Johnson was a member of the Fall River Lodge of Elks. He enjoyed boating, fishing and was an avid reader. He was skilled and talented in carpentry and liked to garden.

He is survived by one daughter, Christine G. Kelley of Fall River, one son, Forrest W. Johnson of Austin, TX, one brother, Forrest K. Johnson and his wife Ruth Hawkins of Shady Valley, NV, six grandchildren, Stephen Lubas of Swansea, Stacia Hebert of Fall River, Rebecca Cook of Fall River, Leland Johnson of Austin, TX, Olivia, Angelina and Elaina Johnson all of Linden, WA, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was father of the late Stanley G. Johnson, Jr. and brother of the late Kenneth, Orville and Evelyn Johnson.
His Celebration of life will be held Wednesday. December 15, 2010 at 10AM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at BIRCHCREST, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea . Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, Swansea.
