

Born in Sydney Mines on February 27, 1951. Bonnie was the daughter of the late William and Thomasina Hastie. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, a woman of great strength, love, courage and humility. She had worked for several years at National Sea Products of North Sydney. She loved painting, crafts, animals, especially bumblebees and spending time with her friends and the staff members at the Guest Home.
Bonnie is survived by her children William (Tania) and Amanda as well as her four grandchildren, Brandon, Nicholas, Jayden and Ren. She is also survived by her sisters Mary (Percy), Billie, Laura (Paul) and her brother Thomas as well as three sisters-in-law Joan, Janice and D., on brother-in-law Thomas and a number of nieces and nephews. Bonnie was predeceased by her husband Stephen and her parents, best friend Mary as well as sisters-in-law Clara and Delia and brothers-in-law Jackie, Buddy and Alex.
Bonnie's family sends a special thank you and their appreciation to Bonnie MacRae, a true friend who went above and beyond to help Bonnie in any and every way possible. She was Bonnie's guardian angel and Bonnie loved her dearly. They send special appreciation as well to the Northside Homemakers. They would also like to thank the staff and residents of the Northside Community Guest Home for their care and compassion throughout Bonnie's stay. She was fortunate to have made so many kind and loving friends among the staff and residents.
